CUBED 2017: 12 Day Outdoor Mural Installation

Public art takes on a new level of inspiration and interactivity as the Pensacola Museum of Art at the University of West Florida, artists and independent curators Evan Levin and Ashton Howard present “CUBED.”  A 12 day outdoor mural installation and live mural-making performance consisiting of 4 8ft x 8ft cubes at Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza located along Palafox St. in downtown Pensacola.

16 artists will create a mural for one of the 8ft x 8ft panels while visitors immerse themselves in the live performance. Meet the artists, ask them questions, take epic selfies in front of the murals and experience a new kind of art. CUBED brings art to everyone and inspires creativity and innovation in all spectators.

In an effort to support brain development and brighter futures for tomorrow’s innovators, each artist will have the option to incorporate one of the Thirty Million Word Initiative’s selected words into their mural composition. For more information on TMW’s impact visit:

After CUBED, the installation will be moved and relocated by the Pensacola Museum of Art up to 1 year after the exhibition dates.
